Doctor Who Cardiff spectacular in aid of 大象传媒 Children in Need

大象传媒 Wales's multi-Bafta award-winning drama Doctor Who and the 大象传媒 National Orchestra of Wales are set to work together to stage a spectacular one-off event in Cardiff in aid of 大象传媒 Children in Need on 19 November.
听
The star-studded concert - which will take place at the Wales Millennium Centre
in Cardiff - will feature the 大象传媒 National Orchestra of Wales performing
selections of Murray Gold's celebrated incidental score, accompanied by a host
of stunning visuals from the most recent series of Doctor Who.
听
The audience can also expect live appearances from some of The Doctor's
greatest enemies including the infamous Daleks and the villainous Cybermen.
听
David Tennant, who plays the time travelling Doctor, has confirmed that he will
be on hand to take part in a question and answer session alongside Doctor Who
writer and Executive Producer Russell T Davies and Murray Gold.
听
The concert will be recorded by 大象传媒 Radio Wales, to be aired at a later date.
听
It will also be filmed by Doctor Who Confidential for a special documentary to
be shown later in the year.
听
Russell T Davies said: "We are delighted to join forces with the 大象传媒 National Orchestra of Wales in
aid of 大象传媒 Children in Need. The evening promises to be an audio visual
spectacular.
听
"I can't wait to hear Murray Gold's extraordinary scores live on
stage."

Doctor Who is made by 大象传媒 Wales and the majority of scenes are filmed in South
Wales.
听
The Wales Millennium Centre itself has featured in two episodes: Boom
Town - an episode in series one based in modern Cardiff - and, in series two,
where the building doubled as a futuristic hospital on the planet New Earth.
听
Ticket prices will include a donation to 大象传媒 Children in Need and the official
programme will also have proceeds going to the appeal.
听
Doctor Who - A Celebration takes place at 6.30pm on Sunday 19 November 2006.
听
Tickets are priced at 拢20, 拢16, 拢14, and 拢10. Tickets for children under the
age of 16 will be half price.
听
Tickets can be bought and booked directly from the Wales Millennium Centre from
20 October 2006.

The 大象传媒 National Chorus of Wales was formed in 1983. It has developed into one
of the leading large mixed choruses in the UK.

Whilst preserving
its amateur status, the chorus works to the highest professional standards, and
enjoys a close performing relationship with the 大象传媒 National Orchestra of
Wales.
