Moby signs up for 大象传媒 6 Music Selector

Moby is set to take over the digital airwaves when the 大象传媒 6 Music Selector returns next month.
听
Selector gives Moby the opportunity to take over 6 Music network programming for the day on Thursday 14 December 2006.
听
He follows in the footsteps of illustrious predecessors Radiohead, Manic Street Preachers, Franz Ferdinand and Kaiser Chiefs, who over the past four years were given the freedom to programme 6 Music for Selector.
听
Moby has enjoyed huge success over the last year, completing a European tour, working on a film soundtrack and releasing his first compilation, Go - The Very Best Of Moby.
听
He will talk about his favourite music, reveal the artists that have influenced his career, and plunder the extensive 大象传媒 archives to play some classic session and concert recordings from the past 40 years.
听
Moby reveals the profound influence of UK music on his career, including David Bowie, Roxy Music, Echo and the Bunnymen and Joy Division.
听
He says the invitation to do Selector was too good to miss: "When you get the chance to take over a radio station and play the music you love of course you have to say yes.
听
"I used to DJ at a college radio station many, many years ago. So this will make me feel very nostalgic, like I'm back at university."
听
6 Music's Head of Programmes, Ric Blaxill, has been delighted with his response to the challenge.
