New Editor announced for 大象传媒 Essex
|
大象传媒 Essex will welcome a new Editor to the radio station in the early Spring -
Gerald Main has been appointed to take over from Margaret Hyde who is retiring.
听
Gerald has an impressive range of management and presenting experience.
听
As
Editor of 大象传媒 Radio Suffolk for four years from August 2002, he led the
station to its most successful levels of listeners and saw it win the coveted Station of the Year award at the national Sony radio awards.
听
Prior to this
Gerald worked at 大象传媒 local radio stations in Cambridge, Luton, Northampton and
Lancashire, gaining valuable on-air experience presenting shows from breakfast
through to sport.
听
Currently Gerald is working on a 大象传媒 project to find and nurture a new
generation of presenters for 大象传媒 Local Radio .
听
He will take up his new role at
大象传媒 Essex in March. 听
Gerald says: "My time in Suffolk has been the happiest and most successful of
my professional career.
听
"The station has won a series of industry awards
including the Sony Radio Academy Station of the Year Award in 2004.
听
"In
addition, the station's audience figures over the last three years have been at an
all-time high.
听
"I am really looking forward to joining the team at 大象传媒 Essex. To be working
for the 大象传媒 in Chelmsford, the birthplace of radio, is a real privilege.

a huge patch in a competitive area and I am very fortunate to be teaming up
with a very talented group of presenters, journalists and support staff.

looking forward to hearing from Essex listeners about their likes and dislikes
and what they want from their station in the future."
