The larger-than-life son of Mynyddygarreg in Carmarthenshire has been shortlisted for the Presenter of the Year award at the prestigious Celtic Media Festival 2007.

In March 2004, the former Llanelli, Wales and British Lions centre began presenting a special programme for listeners in Swansea and south-west Wales each weekday morning on the Welsh language radio station ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Cymru.

The programme, which takes Grav out and about to meet people throughout the area, proved so popular that the number of Radio Cymru listeners in south-west Wales rose by an incredible 61 per cent in just six months.
Ìý
"I'm so proud," said Grav. "The programme started as an experiment and I'd like to thank everyone who has helped to make it work. It has succeeded because of the people we meet everyday – it's their programme. Presenting the programme is not like work to me: it's a privilege."

The English language station ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Wales has been shortlisted for the Radio Station of the Year award. Only three stations have been shortlisted for the award out of more than a hundred which broadcast from the Celtic nations.
