大象传媒 Albanian celebrates its anniversary with strengthened FM presence

The 大象传媒's Albanian service, 大象传媒 n毛 Shqip, celebrates the 14th anniversary of
its re-launch with an increase of its weekly output by over two hours.
听
From
Monday 5 March 2007 its daily programming will come in a new, longer schedule.
听
In
keeping with listener trends in the region, 大象传媒 Albanian has also announced it
is ceasing all shortwave broadcasts.
听
Julia Goga-Cooke, Head of the 大象传媒 Albanian service, said: "We are delighted to
celebrate our anniversary with this important change.
听
"It reinforces our
position in the region's media market, and the increased output means our
listeners in Tirana and Prishtina will be able to tune in to our programmes
more often on our FM frequencies.
听
"Our audience in other parts of Albania and
Kosovo as well as listeners in Macedonia and Greece also will be able to enjoy
more of our programmes through our partner stations."
听
The changes mean 大象传媒 Albanian's flagship programme, 大象传媒 Sot, will be available
on the 大象传媒's FM relays 103.9 MHz in the Albanian capital, Tirana, and 98.5 MHz
in Prishtina, Kosovo, between 07.00 and 12.00 Central European Time from Monday
to Friday.
听
It brings news and current affairs from the region and the rest of
the world as well as interviews, forums, culture shows and English language
teaching.
听
The service's evening news and current affairs programme, Bota ne
mbremje, will now broadcast for a full hour at 19.00, Monday to Friday.
听
In addition, there are changes to the weekend schedules with the morning news and
current programme broadcast between 07.30 and 08.30, and the evening programme
to air between 19.00 and 19.30.
听
The Sunday music programme, Ritem&Pop, will
continue to broadcast from 14.30 to 15.15, repeated 19.30-20.15.
听
大象传媒 Albanian has more than 40 partner radio and television stations in the
region, and some of these programmes will be rebroadcast by them.
