Tara wins third series of Comic Relief Does Fame Academy

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson was crowned winner tonight of the third series of Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.

Ìý

Tricia Penrose and Tara left the Fame Academy Circle of Fear to perform in the studio for the audience of Comic Relief – The Big One. They both revisited their favourite songs, with Tricia singing If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys and Tara giving a show-stopping rendition of Eartha Kitt's These Boots Are Made for Walking.

Ìý

Tara made an entrance in red PVC gloves, a thigh-high spilt dress and over the knee boots. She wore her heart on her boots rather than her sleeve tonight with customised boots declaring "I love Red Nose Day".

Ìý

The judges got into the spirit of Red Nose Day with some warm and fluffy comments.

Ìý

After Tricia's performance, Lesley Garett declared her to have "the best voice of the competition", but it was Tara who won the public over.

Ìý

Craig Revel Horwood said Tara's progress had been "from disaster to divine".

Ìý

Even Headmaster Richard Park was impressed, saying "I think you've done enough to become winner of Comic Relief Does Fame Academy", and he was right.

Ìý

Throughout her Fame Academy experience, Tara has been riveting to watch through her ups and downs. From wearing stiletto heels at Kevin Adam's 7am aerobics classes to arguing with Colin Murray until 4am, Tara has been a fantastic sport and really shown the British public what she is made of.

Ìý

Comic Relief Does Fame Academy votes have raised more than £780,000, which will help make a huge difference to people living unimaginably tough lives in the UK and in Africa.

Ìý

Comic Relief Does Fame Academy is a collaboration between ´óÏó´«Ã½ One, Endemol and Comic Relief.
