The all new Gabby Logan show for Saturday mornings on Radio Five Live

Gabby Logan gets her own show this summer on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Five Live.

Ìý

From 9am to noon on Saturdays, Gabby will host The Gabby Logan Show, three hours of sport and entertainment in her own inimitable style, including a brand new panel quiz show.

Ìý

The first two hours of the show, which kicks off on 26 May and runs through to September, will feature a mix of topical guests and regular contributors and features – including England's funniest cricketer Graeme Swann, Whitley Baywatch with Peter Beardsley, rock 'n' roll racing tipster Steve Harley, and Gabby's Theatre of Dreams where listeners will be invited to share their sporting dreams – the weirder and funnier the better.

Ìý

Throughout the summer Gabby will also be mapping Sporting Britain in an on-air and online campaign to identify ordinary places connected to extraordinary sporting figures – for example, the terraced house where Alan Shearer grew up or the hairdressers where Bobby Charlton made the best of what he had!

Ìý

From 11am to noon, The Umpire Strikes Back sees Gabby take the umpire's chair as two teams of sports stars and celebrities test their sporting and entertainment knowledge against each other.

Ìý

Rounds include Sven Sings where the former England manager will perform a classic track from his CD collection, and Posh & Becks in Hollywood where the Beckhams will read excerpts from popular films – ok, impressionist Owen Parker will!

Ìý

Bob Shennan, Controller, Five Live, says: "Gabby has already made a great impact on Five Live and now our listeners can look forward to a regular date with her on Saturday mornings. She is a radio natural."

Ìý

Keith Bunker, executive producer for Bite Yer Legs, said: "Gabby has encyclopaedic sporting knowledge, but she also has an infectious personality and a wicked sense of humour. We hope to help Five Live's listeners discover this."

Ìý

The Gabby Logan Show, including The Umpire Strikes Back, is executive produced by Keith Bunker and Isobel Williams for Bite Yer Legs.
