Michael Ball joined by special guests on bank holiday Prom

Alfie Boe and Laura Michelle Kelly join Michael Ball for his 大象传媒 Proms debut on bank holiday Monday. Joining them are guest solo violinist Izzy Johnston, backing vocalists Capital Voices and the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra conducted by Callum McLeod.

Acclaimed young tenor Alfie Boe is one of Britain's finest up-and-coming artists, with a huge number of fans and an exclusive record contract.

He got his first break after Baz Luhrmann approached him to play the lead role for his controversial production of Puccini's La Boh猫me, and has recently starred with Michael Ball in the English National Opera's controversial production of Kismet.

Alfie sings the Pearl Fishers duet with Michael and performs Torna a Surriento by Ernesto De Curtis. As well as making his Proms debut with Michael, Alfie is due to perform at 大象传媒 Proms In The Park at Carrickfergus Castle on 8 September.

Laura Michelle Kelly achieved critical acclaim in the role of Mary Poppins in the West End. She has gained recognition as a composer, actress and singer. Laura will sing The Prayer with Michael, with words and music by Carol Bayer Sager and David Foster.

Michael Ball, Britain's leading musical star and The Variety Club of Great Britain's Best Recording Artist for 1998, has starred on Broadway and dominated many leading West End shows for more than a decade.

He is a proven and varied talent who has won praise and the hearts of the public with his memorable performances on stage, film and television.

Ball showcases his talent through the music that has made him famous, performing a varied programme, from Bernstein's Something's Coming from West Side Story and Sondheim's Loving You from Passion, Stranger In Paradise from Kismet, Sullivan's Am I Alone from Patience, to numbers from best-loved shows including Funny Girl, Phantom Of The Opera and Sunset Boulevard.
