Graham Norton welcomes Courtney and Louis as new season opens
Former rock chick and wild child Courtney Love and The X Factor's Louis
Walsh join Graham Norton for the first edition of the new run of his
prime-time series on 大象传媒 Two.
听
The Graham Norton Show returns for a new 12-week season
at 10pm today (Thursday 11 October 2007), with an extended repeat on Sunday.
听
In the first show, Courtney Love spills the beans on what she thinks about the British press and
those stories about Pete Doherty.
听
She says: "Your tabloids are so weird ... I've
had a rough two weeks, every day, there's something fishy going on ...
I've never met Pete Doherty, apparently he's very charismatic, he's got
the style, the hat, even Kate Moss had to ask me [if it was true]." 听
On Sharon Osbourne, Courtney says: "In America she's not perceived as very nice. She re-branded quite well in the UK."
听
And on Mrs Beckham, who she met at the recent
Paris Fashion Week: "She's nice enough, but she had to come in last to
every show, playing the famous person game, she ended up getting boo-ed."
听
Courtney also gives her views on British music: "Your pop is just s**t, it's worse
than ours."
听
And she talks about the time she says HRH Prince Andrew
visited her in LA: "He came to my house at 1am, I made him tea in a
chipped mug with his mother on it. He sat on my couch and said what do
you do all day? I really had to think!"
听
Louis Walsh talks about his return to The X Factor: "I'm happy to have
my job back."
听
But he predicts a fall-out among the judges: "We're getting
along [but] it's going to kick off with the live shows."
听
And on Shane Ward's
potential: "We're going to sell records, he's the English version of
Justin Timberlake. Time will tell."
听
And why he would never back
The Spice Girls: "I wouldn't have The Spice Girls. They just can't sing,
there are no voices there."
听
Also on the show, Katie Melua performs her new single If You Were A Sailboat.
听
The Graham Norton Show is a So Television production for 大象传媒 Two.
