Plant a tree with Radio Sheffield
|
A tree-planting event at the Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, in
association with 大象传媒 Radio Sheffield, is taking place this month.
听
The newly-landscaped Bluebell Wood garden, within the grounds of the
children's hospice at North Anston near Rotherham, is ready to be
planted with plants, shrubs and trees, in time for next spring.
听
People are invited to come along on Monday 12 November 2007 between
10.30am and 4.30pm to plant some trees, shrubs and flowers.
听
Andy Kershaw, CSV Action Desk Producer at Radio Sheffield, says: "This
new garden will provide a beautiful panorama for children and families
using the hospice, which will also include a sensory garden.
听
"Refreshments will be provided and children are welcome as long as they
are supervised by parents."
听
Greg Oldfield, Director of Fundraising at Bluebell Wood, says: "This is
your chance to come along and see the progress we've made with South
Yorkshire's first children's hospice and to help make a lasting
difference to the environment for the benefit of the families we are
helping."
听
The event has been organised in partnership with the 大象传媒's Breathing
Places campaign, which is encouraging people to do one thing to help
local wildlife.
听
Andy adds: "All the tools, materials, insurances and action plans will
be in place for the project. All you need to do is come along and we'll
do the rest and hopefully it will be a lot of fun."
听
The planting is being undertaken in partnership with PSI Nurseries in
Worksop and all materials and equipment will be provided.
听
Access and
parking for people with disabilities is available.
