The Weakest Link moves to 大象传媒 One as part of a new look for Daytime on 大象传媒 One and Two


As part of a new look being introduced to 大象传媒 Vision's Daytime line up next month, The Weakest Link is to move full time to 大象传媒 One, Roly Keating, Acting Controller, 大象传媒 One and Controller, 大象传媒 Two, has announced.

Over the coming weeks 大象传媒 Two will be launching a number of new programmes in the afternoon and early evening schedule including Recipe For Success, in which presenter Simon Rimmer gives couples the chance to live out their dream and run a restaurant, and Britain's Dream Homes in which Melissa Porter and Rhodri Owen search the length and breadth of Britain to find their choice of Britain's property market.

大象传媒 One will continue to broadcast 130-minutes of uninterrupted world class C大象传媒 and CBeebies programmes every weekday afternoon.

Presenter Anne Robinson, whose feisty personality is at the heart of The Weakest Link and whose witty put downs strike fear into the hearts of contestants, will continue to present the programme.

大象传媒 Two has been home to the enduringly popular show since its debut in 2000, although 大象传媒 One viewers have enjoyed special editions of the programme such as a Champions edition of the programme as well as editions with celebrities playing for charity.

Roly Keating said: "The Weakest Link's transfer to the bigger arena of 大象传媒 One testifies to the enduring originality of the format.

"It's always sad to say goodbye to a much loved show but it also presents an exciting opportunity for 大象传媒 Two to develop new ideas.

"I've no doubt that Anne and the team will thrive in their new home on 大象传媒 One."

Presenter Anne Robinson said: "I'm told that 大象传媒 One is ready to take us on full time. I hope they know what they're letting themselves in for."

The Weakest Link, a 大象传媒 Vision production, is in its ninth series and is one of the most successful formats ever developed by the 大象传媒.

It is now licensed in 42 counties across the globe from Azerbaijan to the Ukraine.

Notes to Editors

Children's programmes on 大象传媒 One will include Lazytown, Blue Peter and Newsround as well as drama favourites such as M.I. High and new factual shows including Evacuation Manor House in which children discover what life was like for wartime evacuees.

Both the C大象传媒 and CBeebies digital channels continue to grow in reach and share.

C大象传媒 reaches more 6-12 year olds than its competitor channels in multichannel homes between 7.00am and 7.00pm.

In an average week C大象传媒 reaches 36% of 6-12 year olds.

CBeebies (the 大象传媒's digital channel for pre-school children) has also increased its reach year on year to 48% (up from 43%).
