Glyn makes his mark at the Millennium Stadium
|
As the Welsh squad prepares to face the Scottish team at the Millennium Stadium, one Welshman in particular will be going the extra yard – or indeed the extra 100 yards – to support the team.

C2's Glyn Wise has the honour of marking the pitch this Friday (8 February) on the eve of the big game!
Ìý
Over the past few weeks Glyn Wise and Magi Dodd have been running Glyn Wise's Grand Slam Campaign on their Thursday night C2 programme on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Cymru, looking at various ways for Glyn to get involved and back the team's bid to take the Grand Slam title.
Ìý
Once the Scottish team have finished their final practice on Friday, Glyn will be helping the stadium's groundsman to mark out the pitch.
Ìý
"I'm really looking forward to it and I hope I'll be able to keep my lines straight," says Glyn.
Ìý
"It will be amazing watching the game in the stadium on Saturday and thinking – I painted that line. I just hope that it will inspire them to win the game."
Ìý
Lee Evans, the Millennium Stadium head groundsman, says:
"It's nice to have a little help from Glyn marking the pitch out. It's quite technical and you have to have a very steady hand as a wobbly touchline wouldn't be very helpful for our boys!
Ìý
"I'm sure that he'll do a great job and he'll be watching the game with even more pride on Saturday."
Ìý
Over the past few weeks, Glyn and Magi have been looking at other options to get Glyn supporting the team.
Ìý
"I wanted to be a fourth steward but Nigel Owen, the referee, came on the programme and explained that I had to train as a referee to do that job," he said.
Ìý
"Another idea was to lead Siencyn the goat onto the field but I found out I had to spend nine years in the Army to have that honour!"
Ìý
So has Glyn any final words of encouragement for the team before they run onto the pitch on Saturday?
Ìý
"Carry on until the last minute and don't give up. If we do that we'll take the game – just as we did against the English last week. Come on Wales!"
Ìý
Tune into Magi a Glyn on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Cymru, Friday 8 February 2008 at 8.00pm to hear how Glyn gets on. Ìý
