Radio Newcastle and Newcastle United sign new three-year commentary deal

´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Newcastle has signed a new three-year commentary deal with Newcastle United.

The tie-up means Radio Newcastle will continue to transmit live full match commentaries of all Newcastle United games until the end of the 2010/11 season.
Ìý
Radio Newcastle commentator Mick Lowes and former Newcastle United defender John Anderson have covered Newcastle games for over two decades and under the new deal will continue to cover home and away games with the Magpies.

Mick said: "I think the new deal is just the latest example of Radio Newcastle's commitment to local football. As we all know, the sport is the lifeblood of the North East and it's a pleasure and a delight to be able to bring 90-minutes commentary to the most committed and knowledgeable set of supporters in the country."

Newcastle United's Director of Commercial Affairs Darren Venn said: "We are very pleased to have renewed our long standing relationship with Radio Newcastle and look forward to working together over the next three seasons."
