Five news presenter Natasha Kaplinsky says on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross: "I've always been hired by male bosses. It amuses me because they always say 'you should change your hair, your lipstick', meanwhile they can hardly dress themselves."

And she says: "What irritates me is I never see a man being called an auto-cutie."

She was apprehensive about her Five makeover: "There was anxiety around it, it was a bit of a risk. The clothes were a big thing. They said don't wear jackets. There was a procession of stylists, only one shirt [of mine] survived... getting my hair to look reasonable is quite a feat, it doesn't look great natural, it's really curly. My husband Justin says it's like having two partners."

And she says: "Brendan dropped me every single time, in the final he looked petrified and my body was covered in bruises. Apparently I was having a relationship with him – but no."
