First for Welsh football fans as red button commentary is offered in Welsh

For the first time, digital TV viewers across the UK will be given the option of watching the FA Cup Final at Wembley – between Cardiff City (the Bluebirds) and Portsmouth – with Welsh-language commentary from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Cymru's Camp Lawn programme.

Ìý

Wherever in the UK they may be on Saturday, Welsh-speaking fans can enjoy the historic game in their mother tongue via the red button.

Ìý

Camp Lawn kicks off at 2pm on Saturday, with Dylan Ebenezer, Gareth Blainey, Dylan Griffiths and pundits Malcolm Allen and Iwan Roberts.

Ìý

The commentary is also streamed live on the Radio Cymru website at bbc.co.uk/radiocymru.

Ìý

"We're very pleased that Radio Cymru commentary is available through the red button," says Sian Gwynedd, Editor of Radio Cymru.

Ìý

"The fact that the commentary is available throughout Britain means that Welsh-speakers, wherever they are, can get Radio Cymru commentary whilst watching the biggest game in the history of Cardiff City Football Club since 1927."

Ìý

There's also full coverage of the build-up live from Wembley on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Wales and Radio Cymru throughout the day, starting with FA Cup Morning Of The Match with Oliver Hides and Emma Cook on Radio Wales from 7am and Post Cyntaf with Rhodri Llywelyn on Radio Cymru from 8am.

Ìý

At 8.30am, Radio Cymru's football programme Ar y Marc brings all the pre-match excitement with presenter Dylan Jones.

Ìý

Live TV coverage of the game kicks-off on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One Wales in FA Cup Final from 12.40pm (kick-off 3pm), with full build-up from Gary Lineker and guests ahead of the game.

Ìý

Coverage of the game itself can also be heard on Radio Wales in Sportstime from 2.05pm.

Ìý

Cardiff fans travelling to Wembley will be welcomed by the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Wales bus which will be parked outside the stadium, offering fans a chance to air their views ahead of the game on Radio Wales and Radio Cymru.
