The 大象传媒 issued a statement last night announcing that Monty Don is standing down as the main presenter of 叠叠颁听罢飞辞's Gardeners' World.

大象传媒 statement: "Monty Don has decided to stand down as the main presenter of
Gardeners' World.
听
"Monty has presented the series for the past
five years but has been off our screens for the past six weeks as
a result of a minor stroke. Although he is making a good recovery
he feels unable to commit to regular filming for a while.
听
"Monty will be sorely missed by viewers and production team. We
wish him a speedy recovery and hope to work with him again
sometime in the future.
听
"We are now beginning a search for the new presenter of Gardeners'
World."
听
Monty Don said: "I am proud to have led Gardeners' World听for the past five years
and have enjoyed every minute of sharing my passion with the
programme's viewers.
听
"I intend to take some gardening leave for the rest of the summer
to make a full recovery and so that I am ready to tackle new
projects."
听
Roly Keating, Controller, 大象传媒 Two, said: "Monty's wisdom, expertise and sheer passion for plants has made him one of 大象传媒 Two's best-loved faces over the past few years.

"His many friends and admirers across the 大象传媒 will miss him as much as his huge audience of viewers, and we wish him a full and speedy recovery.

"And, of course, if he ever chooses to return to television in the future we'd love to welcome him back."
