Stars of local radio and TV get their dancing shoes on for Children in Need

Stars of 大象传媒 Local Radio and regional tv will put their dancing shoes on and participate in a Dancer in Need competition this weekend at the Royal Berkshire County Show to raise awareness for charity 大象传媒 Children in Need.

Inspired by 大象传媒 One's Strictly Come Dancing series, presenters from 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire, Solent, Oxford, Southern Counties and 大象传媒 TV's South and South East regions have been teamed up with a dancer from local dance company Ginger Jive.

After one hour of intensive practise the presenters will show what they can do on Sunday 21 September and compete against each other dancing in the bandstand at the show.

Radio Berkshire's presenter Debbie McGee will represent the station.

Other presenters participating are Steve Harris from 大象传媒 Radio Solent; Lou Hannan from 大象传媒 Radio Oxford; Ben Kerrigan from 大象传媒 Southern Counties Radio; Jo Kent from 大象传媒 South and Inside Out presenter Joe Crawley.

Debbie, who presents Sunday's mid-morning show on Radio Berkshire, says: "I've always loved dancing and am thrilled to be taking part in the event to raise awareness of Children in Need this Sunday.

"I know I'll be facing some stiff competition from other local 大象传媒 radio stations but I'm going to do my best and hope to do Radio Berkshire proud."

The winning couple will be decided by a panel of three judges.
