A History Of Scotland viewing figures


A History Of Scotland, presented by Neil Oliver, is continuing to grab more viewers.

Having notched up 604,000 viewers last week in a slot which normally averages around 430,000, A History Of Scotland's second episode on Sunday 16 November at 9.00pm on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One Scotland, was watched by more than 624,000 – despite stiff competition.

And a further 240,000 viewers watched the repeat of the first episode, screened earlier that evening at 6.00pm on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two Scotland.

Maggie Cunningham, Joint Head of Programmes, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Scotland, said: "More than 840,000 viewers have tuned in to watch the two terrestrial screenings of the first episode of A History Of Scotland, and according to the provisional overnight figures the second episode has attracted even more viewers in a very competitive slot."

The programme, which is shot in HD, is part of a major project, Scotland's History, spanning television, radio, events and a new website bbc.co.uk/scotlandshistory.
