Songs Of Praise presenter Diane Louise Jordan is the voice of a new half-hour podcast trial, called Faith In England, which showcases a selection of the week's best faith stories from across the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s 40 local radio stations.
Diane, who is also famous as a former Blue Peter presenter, is delighted by the chance to feature some of the great tales and personalities who appear on ´óÏó´«Ã½ local radio stations' Sunday morning programmes, saying: "Everyone knows that England's real colour and character is found in local communities. Now, thanks to the genius of the internet, everyone can hear local stories that are often uplifting and inspiring – even if we don't live around the corner!
"I am excited about presenting this new podcast which has worldwide appeal and accessibility, giving us all a chance to feel connected wherever we live."
The half hour podcast is available every Tuesday at 9.00am, for a week, and can be found via the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Religion and Ethics website, bbc.co.uk/religion.
Faith In England listeners have already heard Weymouth Christians intervening and diffusing a street fight between two women, toured a 900-year-old church in Sheffield, heard about those seeking spirituality through yoga in London and listened to a Leicestershire Muslim's story of reconciling his faith and his homosexuality.
