Panorama: anti-Islamic terrorist group whose leaders are based in Europe and America accused of Iranian bombing

An anti-Islamic Iranian terrorist group whose leaders are based in Europe and America is accused of carrying out attacks inside Iran, ´óÏó´«Ã½ One's Panorama has learned.

While the West considers Iran a sponsor of terror, what is less well understood is that Iranians see themselves as victims of terrorism.

Last March, as thousands of people gathered in a centre in the city of Shiraz to pray, a bomb went off during prayers – killing 12 and injuring 202.

Mahmoud Salarkia, the Deputy Prosecutor of Tehran who deals with Iran's terror cases, tells Panorama's Jane Corbin that the leaders of this terrorist group are based in Europe and America. He produces Interpol warrants for the arrest of the people behind the bombing.

"These are the people in England and the US who have committed terrorist activities here," he says.

One of the documents contains details about a woman and states that one of the countries she is likely to visit is the United Kingdom.

"She is the spokeswoman for the group doing those activities," says Salarkia. ""I'm not saying that they're helped financially or logistically by foreign countries. The issue is how these people who've committed crimes, people we are trying to prosecute, are allowed to continue their activities abroad without anyone arresting them?"

Interpol would not comment on internal police documents.

Case Study

Reza Entezami was in the hall in Shiraz with his wife and two small sons who were playing in the back of the hall. As the iman chanted and the mosque camera filmed a bomb went off.

Entezami says: "I saw two small legs over here… just the lower parts of the legs… I said to myself could these legs belong to my kids, are they Irfan and Ali Reza's legs? Then I said to myself not they can't be them… I kept on searching for them."

But it was his children – Irfan aged four and Ali Reza who was 10.

Entezami says: "Those countries which are deafening the world with their cries about human rights, have they seen what happened here? Have they seen that terrorists put a bomb next to my two innocent kids? And then detonated it with a remote control device and blew my children to pieces? These terrorists are now roaming around comfortably in England, the US and Israel as far as we know."
