´óÏó´«Ã½ Suffolk has signed a three-year deal with Ipswich Town Football Club to provide commentary on all the team's league and cup matches, both home and away, for the coming season onwards.
The deal, which was announced yesterday on lifelong Ipswich Town fan Mark Murphy's ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Suffolk breakfast show, gives the station the rights to commentate on all Championship and League Cup matches for the next three seasons.
Last season, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Suffolk only carried commentary on the Tractor Boys' away matches, but from next season the station's resident Ipswich Town commentator and aficionado Brenner Woolley will be joined home and away in the commentary box by club legends including Kevin Beattie, Alex Mathie and Ray Crawford.
Join Brenner and the team as they follow what is shaping up to be an exciting period in the club's history, as new manager Roy Keane embarks on his first full season in charge.
Peter Cook, Managing Editor, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Suffolk, says: "We're delighted to be returning full match commentary, home and away, to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Suffolk and particularly so for the start of what promises to be an exciting new era for Ipswich Town and their fans."
He adds: "We know just how passionate our listeners are about the club and we're looking forward to celebrating a great season with them."
From next season, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ will provide coverage of Ipswich Town, and the rest of the Football League, on radio, online and on TV.
´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Suffolk broadcasts on 95.5, 95.9, 103.9 & 104.6 FM and online via ´óÏó´«Ã½ iPlayer.
