´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Northampton's Joe Pignatiello has never been very good at getting up in the morning so now the station's breakfast show presenter has decided to take his bed to work.
On Tuesday 7 July Joe will be broadcasting, in his pyjamas, live from his bed in an empty shop at 3 Gold Street, Kettering.
Joe is aiming to highlight the plight of the high street and joining him on his bed will be local traders and business people discussing the state of the local economy.
Empty shops are often unsightly and can make an otherwise pleasant high street look bad. So Joe has invited local school children to deliver pictures of their favourite places in the town to stick in the empty shop window and brighten it up during the show.
Joe says: "This is a great opportunity to support local high streets which are an integral part of our every day lives. I hope that doing the show from my bed in a shop window will focus people's attention on the plight of the high street and remind them how important it is to support it."
Joe's breakfast in bed takes place between 6.00 and 8.00am on Tuesday 7 July 2009.
Radio Northampton broadcasts on 104.2 & 103.6 FM and online via ´óÏó´«Ã½ iPlayer.
Joe Pignatiello is available for interview on request.
