Follow The Mariners with Radio Humberside

´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Humberside is pleased to announce that it will once again be broadcasting full commentaries on Grimsby Town games from the start of the Football League season.

And Mariners fans are being urged to make sure they have access to DAB digital radio so they can hear all the games.

The station has been able to agree terms with the club for a season-long deal which marks the return of ´óÏó´«Ã½ commentaries after a break of two years.

The first commentary will be this Saturday (8 August) when Grimsby Town travel to Cheltenham Town. The match will be carried on 1485 medium wave and DAB digital radio.

Radio Humberside Editor Derek McGill said: "We're really pleased to have reached a commentary agreement with Grimsby Town.

"It means we will be aiming to broadcast more commentaries than ever before on local games involving Grimsby, Scunthorpe United and Hull City.

"There is excellent DAB digital radio coverage in Grimsby so Mariners fans will need to prepare by making sure they have access to a DAB radio for the occasions when we will be splitting our frequencies to cover three simultaneous games."

The Grimsby Town commentaries will be once again be provided by ´óÏó´«Ã½ commentator John Tondeur, who has been following the club for Radio Humberside for 25 years.

Radio Humberside Sports Editor, David Burns, said: "It's fantastic news that John Tondeur will again be able to offer full match coverage of Grimsby Town – it looks like a very promising season and we'll be behind the club as they have every chance of looking for promotion."
