Whether it's your favourite beach, walk or even chip shop, µþµþ°äÌý±·±ð·É³¦²¹²õ³Ù±ô±ð's breakfast show presenters want you to tell them why you love living in the North East and where your favourite places are!
Each morning, Alfie Joey and Charlie Charlton will pick a specific theme and ask the audience to tell them about their passion for their part of the world and to reveal their "hidden gems".
"I've lived around the world," says Charlie, "but for me the North East has always been home... whether it's having an ice-cream in Gateshead's Saltwell Park, paddling in the sea at Embleton, shopping with friends in Durham or going to a gig in Sunderland."
Alfie says: "As well as the best-known sites around the region, we're particularly keen to hear about places that might be slightly off the beaten track and not that obvious."
This special feature will run each weekday between 9.00 and 10.00am within the breakfast show until 2 October 2009.
Listeners are encouraged to email their Hidden Gems pictures to wear@bbc.co.uk or to photo-sharing website Flickr – just search for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Hidden Gems group and share your pictures there.
Images will also appear on bbc.co.uk/tyne or bbc.co.uk/wear.
´óÏó´«Ã½ Newcastle's breakfast show with Alfie and Charlie runs from 6.30 to 10.00am weekdays on 95.4 FM.
