Update – 25 January 2010: this press release has been updated with new transmission details.
Broadcasting live from the 350-seat Radio Theatre in ´óÏó´«Ã½ Broadcasting House, London, Sir Terry Wogan will host a live two hour show featuring live musical performance and guests from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
Terry's show will be broadcast in three blocks of 12 shows from Sunday 14 February 2010.
This follows Terry's departure from Wake Up To Wogan which he announced live on air in an emotional speech on Monday 7 September 2009, after a total of 27 years hosting the programme.
Terry comments: "It'll make a change to have my Sunday lunch interrupted rather than my breakfast!"
Bob Shennan, Controller, Radio 2 and 6 Music, comments: "I am so pleased that Terry is not only staying on Radio 2, but launching such an exciting and ambitious new programme."
Terry will announce details of how to obtain free tickets to his new Sunday programme on Wake Up To Wogan later this year, and the details will also be available on bbc.co.uk/tickets.
When Terry is not on air, Michael Ball's Sunday show will transmit in four blocks of four programmes from 10 January, 2010.
Michael, who has just finished a nationwide tour celebrating over 25 years in the entertainment industry, will continue to give listeners a rich mix of studio interviews and music.
