´óÏó´«Ã½ Switch orders teen relationships documentary series

The ´óÏó´«Ã½'s teen brand ´óÏó´«Ã½ Switch has commissioned independent production company, Firecracker Films, to produce a new six-part observational documentary series which examines teen relationships.

Broadcasting this spring within the Switch zone on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two (Saturdays, 12noon-2.00pm), Single, Together, Whatever gives a unique insight into what young people really think about relationships and love.

The 30-minute episodes follow the ups and downs of the love lives of a diverse group of 14- to 18-year-olds in real-life situations as they flirt, date, get together, break up and experience the emotional rollercoaster of teen romance.

Each episode follows different teens – both couples and singles – as they negotiate relationship minefields and open up on camera about their private thoughts and feelings about love, sex and heartache.

Each show has a different theme and charts the various stages of relationships, from asking someone out for the first time to experiencing life as a couple.

Geoffrey Goodwin, Head of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Switch, said: "´óÏó´«Ã½ Switch aims to represent what teens are doing and thinking.

"This series gives a slice of teenage life in Britain today and reflects the emotional issues they are experiencing."

Jes Wilkins, Firecracker's Head of Programmes, added: "We are delighted to be making this series for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Switch.

"It's enlightening to discover what teenagers really think about love and relationships in their own voices."

Single, Together, Whatever is just one of the exciting offerings for teens airing on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Switch this spring.

This month it was announced that teen drama The Cut will return for a second series.

Single, Together, Whatever is a Firecracker Films production for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Switch. The executive producer is Jes Wilkins. The series producer is Suzanne Readwin.
