Radio 5 Live at Cheltenham 2010

John Inverdale

´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live Sports Extra have extensive coverage of one of the highlights of the National Hunt season, the Cheltenham Festival (16-19 March).

Gold Cup winners Kauto Star and Denman go head to head once again, with Kauto Star hoping to retain his crown.

John Inverdale hosts daily live coverage from Cheltenham on 5 Live from Tuesday 16 March (2.00-4.00pm), with an extended programme on Friday 19 March from 1.00pm with all the build-up to the Gold Cup.

Clare Balding and Luke Harvey have all the pre-race news and the first race of each day on 5 Live Sports Extra from 1.00pm, Tuesday to Thursday.

Former Gold Cup and Grand National winning jockey Mick Fitzgerald, multiple champion jockey Peter Scudamore and 5 Live racing correspondent Cornelius Lysaght will join John and Clare to provide an indispensible guide to the festival.

Comedian Kevin Day will be out and about around the course with the festival-goers, getting their reaction and giving his own insight on the proceedings.

John Hunt and Luke Harvey will provide commentary for all the big races, including the Champion Hurdle and the Gold Cup.

Mick Fitzgerald, Cornelius Lysaght and John Motson will be guests on 5 Live Sport on Monday 15 March (7.00-10.30pm) to preview the festival.

And there will be a full round-up of events on 5 Live Sport between 7.00 and 7.30pm every day of the festival, whilst Luke Harvey will preview each day's action daily on 5 Live Breakfast.

You can listen to 5 Live on DAB digital radio, Digital TV, online at bbc.co.uk/5live and on 909 & 693 MW.
