Following last year's success, Angela Rippon, Gloria Hunniford and Jennie Bond are back to take on the nation's consumer problems in a new extended series of Rip-Off Britain, on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One Daytime.
Money matters and, in tough times, it seems everyone wants to get their hands on our cash – from the banks to the supermarkets and from utility suppliers to insurance companies.
At a time of financial pressure, the new series asks the public what they want Angela, Gloria and Jenny to investigate.
In a battle against shady deals and sharp practices, the presenters will dig into the facts and demand answers from the people at the top. They will also show viewers how to get the information they need to make informed choices about their finances so they can avoid being ripped off.
In the first series, Angela, Gloria and Jennie highlighted a range of traps that so many of us regularly fall into and took on big businesses such as Barclays and BT.
They investigated different cases, from the Equity Release schemes to premium phone lines, from low cost airlines to internet-only discounts.
The series first ran as a series of five episodes, but is back for a run of 20x45-minute shows.
Liam Keelan, Controller ´óÏó´«Ã½ Daytime, says: "It's fantastic to see such talented and experienced presenters back on Daytime tackling the issues that so matter to our audience."
Rip-Off Britain is being made by ´óÏó´«Ã½ Current Affairs and executive producers are Carla-Maria Lawson and Sinead Rocks.
Rip-Off Britain is a ´óÏó´«Ã½ Vision production for ´óÏó´«Ã½ One Daytime and is due to transmit in the autumn.
