Patrick Kielty will present a series of live Saturday morning shows (10am-1pm) on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 2 from 24 July 2010.
The Irish comedian will fill the Saturday morning slot in the schedule for 10 weeks, entertaining listeners before Graham Norton takes over the slot permanently on 2 October.
Patrick said: "I'm delighted to be sharing Saturday mornings with the listeners of Radio 2. I've had great craic making my shows earlier this year and I'm really looking forward to kick-starting the weekend on the wireless this summer."
Patrick has graced the Radio 2 airwaves recently, presenting the New Year's Resolutions show in January and counting down The People's Artist Chart in April.
Lewis Carnie, Head of Programmes, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 2 and 6 Music, said: "It's always exciting to introduce new regular voices to the schedule, and I'm delighted that Patrick will have a lengthy stint on the network this summer."
Patrick Kielty will join an eclectic array of broadcasting talent in Radio 2's Saturday schedule, which includes Zoe Ball, Dale Winton, Brian Matthew, Dermot O'Leary, Alan Carr, Steve Lamacq and Paul Gambaccini.
