Football on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ for 2010/2011 season

The waiting is over for football fans across the country as the 2010/2011 football season gets underway. The ´óÏó´«Ã½'s first live game of the season sees newly promoted Leeds Utd face old rivals Derby County on Saturday 7 August. Presenter Jake Humphrey is joined in the studio by Lee Dixon and Danny Mills.

In addition, live Football League games on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ have been confirmed:

Saturday 11 September: Burnley v Preston North EndÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý
SaturdayÌý23 October: Doncaster Rovers v Sheffield UnitedÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý
Sunday 7 November: Cardiff City v Swansea CityÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý
Sunday 28 November: Norwich City v Ipswich TownÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

The ´óÏó´«Ã½'s live coverage of the Football League will feature a range of usual ´óÏó´«Ã½ football faces, as well as Jake, Gabby Logan will also feature as presenter.

The Football League Show returns on the first Saturday of the season, with Manish Bhasin and Steve Claridge back as the regular studio team, with some guest studio appearances from Leroy Rosenior and Mark Bright.

Dan Walker and Football Focus get out and about again this season with 12 shows to be presented live from Premier League or Football League clubs, starting at Elland Road on 7 August.Ìý

There will also be special online editions of Football Focus on Tuesday (Focus Forum), Friday (Friday Focus) and an edited version of Saturday's show available from 3pm.

Final Score, soon to be the UK's only free-to-air results show, continues to bring viewers all the goals and football news as it happens every Saturday afternoon on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One, starting with the Football League programme on 7 August at 4.30pm on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One.

Final Score is also available via the Red Button and the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport website from 2.30pm every Saturday.

Gabby Logan returns as host, with regular guests including Garth Crooks, Mark Bright, Martin Keown and Matt Holland.

Saturday 14 August sees the start of the 2010/2011 Premier League season. And, for the discerning armchair supporter, Premier League highlights return to ´óÏó´«Ã½ One with Match Of The Day, showcasing the pick of the action from every one of the day's matches.

Gary Lineker returns alongside regular studio pundits Alan Hansen, Mark Lawrenson, Alan Shearer and Lee Dixon to provide viewers with their unique brand of expert analysis and candid opinion on the Premier League's major talking points.

Colin Murray takes to the helm as the new presenter of Match Of The Day 2 – back on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two every Sunday night throughout the season.

Colin will be joinedÌýon Sunday eveningsÌýby analyst Lee Dixon on a regular basis, as well as a range of personalities from the footballing world – with MOTD2 again providing the last word on the weekend's action.

And, for the first time this season, more content than ever before will be available on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Online.

The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport website will feature all the Premier League goals from Saturday and Sunday games, with Match Of The Day 2 making its début on ´óÏó´«Ã½ iPlayer, showing all the goals scored in the weekend's Premier League fixtures*.

In addition, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport website continues to offer match highlights from every game in the Scottish Premier League and the entire Football League, providing users ofÌý´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport website the chance to watch every goal in the Scottish Premier and all English professional leagues.
