´óÏó´«Ã½ One today announced a recommission of a second series of Junior Apprentice from producers talkbackTHAMES.
The recommission follows the success of the debut series of Junior Apprentice which launched on ´óÏó´«Ã½ One in May this year and saw Arjun Ragyagor claim the first Junior Apprentice title.
The second series of Junior Apprentice will broadcast later next year with Lord Sugar at its helm, along with his trusty advisors Nick Hewer and Karren Brady.
The series will return with an extended run (8x60mins), with a brand new line-up of budding Junior Apprentices aged 16 to 17 years old, competing over a series of business related tasks to become the next winner of Junior Apprentice and win a prize tailored to his or her individual career prospects, worth up to the value of £25,000.
Lord Sugar commented on the recommission: "Following the first series I have had a brilliant reaction from young people in response to the show. They will be delighted that the Junior Apprentice is coming back and with a longer run. I'm passionate about giving young business talent the chance to step up and this show is a great platform."
Mark Linsey, ´óÏó´«Ã½ Controller Entertainment Commissioning, said: "The first series of Junior Apprentice showed that there is plenty of passion for business among our young people. I'm delighted that yet more budding young entrepreneurs are going to get the chance to prove their worth and learn about business from Lord Sugar."
