´óÏó´«Ã½ Three today announces that Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates will present the channel's festival coverage throughout the summer.
Kicking off with Radio 1's Big Weekend, the duo will front ´óÏó´«Ã½ Three's Glastonbury programming, as well as live coverage from Reading Festival. The digital channel, which broadcasts the most coverage from the summer's best festivals, will bring viewers all the action "as it happens" through its live coverage of headline slots and unique music performances.
Fearne Cotton, for the first time, joins Reggie Yates, who has fronted the channel's coverage in the past, to present some of the best performances and highlights from the summer's biggest festival dates.
The Radio 1 DJs will head off to Carlisle on 14 May for Radio 1's Big Weekend to present performances from Lady Gaga and the Foo Fighters, before setting up camp at Worthy Farm from 24 June at 7pm, to bring ´óÏó´«Ã½ Three viewers the best of Glastonbury (alongside the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Four content). They will round off the summer festival coverage at Reading Festival from 26 August.
Fearne Cotton says: "I'm thrilled to join the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Three team covering all the big festivals this summer. We will bring as much of that festival magic to your TVs as possible, with a range of interviews and live performances. I've never met Lady Gaga so I'm going to try and get an interview with her and I'm looking forward to seeing some of my favourites again like the Foo Fighters."
Reggie Yates adds: "I'm really looking forward to returning to cover the festivals again for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Three and I'm delighted to be hosting the shows this year with my old mate Fearne Cotton."
Zai Bennett, Controller of ´óÏó´«Ã½ Three, says: "Fearne and Reggie are the perfect presenting team for ´óÏó´«Ã½ Three's amazing coverage of Radio 1's Big Weekend, Glastonbury, and Reading festivals. Live music is incredibly important to our audience and Fearne and Reggie really know their stuff, they will give our viewers unique backstage access to the whole festival experience."
´óÏó´«Ã½ Three will also bring highlights from T in the Park from 8 July, presented by Reggie Yates and Edith Bowman.
