CHIEF MINISTER’S DEPARTMENTChief MinisterSenator Frank Walker Assistant MinistersConn茅table Ken Vibert This new department will provide support and advice to the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, and co-ordinate policies and strategies across the States. Essentially, it replaces the Policy and Resources Department and it will have responsibility for a range of services, including international relations, constitutional issues (including relations with the UK government), States staffing and IT, statistics, and the Law Draftsman's Office. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTMinisterSenator Philip Francis Cyril Ozouf Assistant MinistersConn茅table Geoffrey William Fisher The Economic Development Department will continue to have responsibility for all areas of economic policy and development in Jersey, including agriculture, fisheries, tourism and finance. It will continue to have an overview of policies that may affect the harbours and the airport, air and sea links, and postal and telecommunications services. It will also continue to oversee consumer and regulatory services. EDUCATION, SPORT and CULTUREMinisterSenator Michael Vibert Assistant MinistersDeputy John Benjamin Fox The Education, Sport, and Culture Department will continue with its current responsibilities, looking after education, sport, culture and recreation in Jersey. HEALTH and SOCIAL SERVICESMinisterSenator Ben Edward Shenton Assistant MinistersSenator James Leslie Perchard The Health and Social Services Department will continue to carry out the current Department's important responsibilities for health and social services. HOME AFFAIRSMinisterSenator Wendy Kinnard The 大象传媒 is not responsible for the content of external websites Assistant MinistersDeputy Andrew David Lewis The States of Jersey Police, the Fire and Rescue Service, the Prison Service, and Customs and Immigration will all continue to come under the responsibility of the Home Affairs Department. This department will also have responsibility for criminal justice policy, and the registration of births, deaths and marriages. HOUSINGMinisterSenator Terence John Le Main Assistant MinistersDeputy Jacqueline Ann Hilton The Housing Department will keep its current responsibilities, including social housing, estates management, and housing benefits. PLANNING and ENVIRONMENTMinisterSenator Frederick Ellyer Cohen Assistant MinistersDeputy Anne Enid Pryke The Planning and Environment Department will have responsibility for all planning and building control matters. It will also be responsible for Jersey's environment in its widest sense, including environmental policy and regulation, and water resources and waste management regulation. SOCIAL SECURITYMinisterSenator Paul Francis Routier Assistant MinistersDeputy Peter Nicholas Troy Employment and Social Security will be renamed the Social Security Department. It will continue to administer contributions and benefits, and will retain responsibility for the Health and Safety Inspectorate, and for a number of employment services including the Work Zone. TRANSPORT and TECHNICAL SERVICESMinisterDeputy Guy William John de Faye Assistant MinistersDeputy Jacqueline Jeannette Huet This department will take over the responsibilities of the existing Public Services Department. These include waste management, street and beach cleaning, parks and gardens, main roads maintenance and management, footpath and land management, and waste management operations (including sewage disposal, drainage etc.). The Transport and Technical Services Department will also have responsibility for on-Island transport policy. It is proposed that Driver and Vehicle Standards, which is currently in Home Affairs, should be transferred to Transport and Technical Services. TREASURY and RESOURCESMinisterSenator Terence Augustine Le Sueur Assistant MinistersDeputy John Alexandre Nicholas Le Fondr茅 The Treasury and Resources Department will replace the Finance and Economics Committee, carrying out all its work on States budgets and financial policies. It will also be responsible for States property matters, States manpower levels and States employees' pay. SCRUTINY PANELSThe role of the Scrutiny is predominantly to carry out reviews of areas of public concern or areas where scrutiny could have significant influence.
