9 famous folk you may not realise have a passion for making art

Billy Connolly was trying his best to escape the icy rain of a wintry Montreal night. He ducked into a nearby art store and bought some felt tips and a sketchbook to help pass the time in the warmth of his nearby hotel room.
He admitted to Janice Forsyth that those first attempts, now around 10 years ago, were “pretty awful”. Crucially, however, he realised he was at least improving ...and so began Billy Connolly’s love of drawing.
Better known as a subject for and artists than an originator himself, Billy kept up his passion for art and staged an exhibition of his own drawings in November 2018.
