How my character’s fashion sense inspired my own style — by Karen Gillan
Not Another Happy Ending is a very stylised film and its central character Jane, whom I play, has a strong fashion sense.
I take inspiration from the characters I play
I’ve started to realise that, weirdly, I take inspiration from the characters I play.
When I played Jean Shrimpton in , for example, I found myself wearing loads of 60s-style pieces and rummaging in vintage shops.
And with Jane, I really got into more classic silhouettes and quirky accessories.
I’d say my fashion sense is pretty fluid though: I’m always up for trying new things and don’t really follow trends.
