Would you contribute to an IVF treatment fund as a wedding gift?
3 January 2019
When the family and friends of 25-year-old Alyson asked what they could get her as a wedding present, she decided against the traditional kitchenware / furniture gifts.
Alyson and her fiancé already lived together, so owned many of the things a newly married couple might usually receive. Instead, therefore, she had a novel idea and asked for contributions to help the couple receive IVF treatment.
“We would have appreciated and cherished any gift, but our friends and family knew the struggles we were having.”
Alyson shared her plan with a social media group for prospective brides. Its members reassured her that the idea was a good one.
