What Michelle Obama fact has excited Susan Calman this much?
As a Michelle Obama superfan Susan Calman couldn’t contain her excitement when one of her guests told her what the former First Lady actually smells like.
As part of Susan Calman’s Fringe Benefits at the Edinburgh Festivals comic Calman has a host of guests with juicy gossip, embarrassing stories and, it seems, up close and personal details of the rich and famous.
The latest episode saw US comedian Phoebe Robinson, best known for co-hosting successful podcast 2 Dope Queens, reveal some insights into the former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Susan: “What’s she like?”
Phoebe: “She’s amazing, she’s like everything you think she’s going to be. She’s a great hugger, she smells really nice.”
Susan: “What does she smell of?”
Phoebe: “She smells like Christmas morning....cocoa butter...everything beautiful and lovely, yeah she’s awesome.”
Susan: “Oh my god.”
Ever wondered what Michelle Obama smells like?
American comedian Phoebe Robinson discusses Mrs Obama with superfan Susan Calman.
As part of their popular podcast Phoebe and co-host Jessica Williams have interviewed Jon Hamm, Lupita Nyong'o, Daniel Ratcliffe and Sarah Jessica Parker. Their podcast run ended with .
Mrs Obama has a string of accolades to her name already including recently being voted ‘the world's most admired woman’. She may turn out to be the best-selling memoir author ever for “Becoming” and to top it off she smells like one of the most happy events of the calendar: Christmas morning.
Susan doesn't have quite so many strings to her bow but she is mother to five rescue cats named Pickle, Daisy Fay Harper, DCI Jane Tennison, Olivia Pope and Dr Abigail Bartlet.
The keen-eyed amongst you will note that Susan's love of First Ladies may not have begun with Michelle Obama. Dr Abigail Bartlet, who was played by Stockard Channing, was a TV character who became the First Lady in The West Wing.
If Susan ever decides to changes her cat naming convention to real life people, we suspect we know who cat number six will be named after.
