Why pop stars and animals really don't mix

Celebrities and pop stars simply aren't meant to mix with the natural world or the great outdoors - just ask .

She had a run in with some bugs this week during a gigs in Brisbane, which led to panic on stage and laughter from the audience.

But of course she's not the first pop star to have a run-in with bugs and beasts during their career. Here's 7 reasons why all music professionals should probably stay indoors at all time.

Adele

She has been harassed by mosquitos and bats on stage during her world tour.

Adele freaked out during her Sunday gig in Brisbane when a mosquito bit her hand during the show.

She behaved in a typical Adele manner - running around screaming. David Attenborough she ain't.

"I don’t like bugs! It was sucking my blood," she squealed.

She then tried to ask the bug if he was OK after she had swatted him away.

Little Mix

Everything's bigger in America, including the bugs. Adele may have struggled with a mosquito in Brisbane but Jade from faced off with huge bug during a gig in Phoenix, USA.

The girl group were performing their single How Ya Doin for Live 101.5 Phoenix when a flying monstrosity landed on her hair. There was plenty of screaming and squealing but they continued singing and didn't drop a note.

Kings Of Leon

Adele and Little Mix managed to continue performing after their run-ins on stage but things didn't end so well for .

They left the stage during a gig in St Louis, Missouri in 2010 after a pigeon did a poo in Jared Followill's mouth shortly after their show at the Verizon Amphitheatre started.

"So sorry St Louis. We had to bail, pigeons ing in Jared‘s mouth and it was too unsanitary to continue," Nathan Followill wrote on Twitter following the incident.

Their support bands had completed their sets and got covered in bird poo, but it was all too much for KoL.

Niall Horan

told The Sun that he was attacked by a squirrel in London - but he wasn't telling the truth.

"A squirrel attacked me. I got attacked by a squirrel in Battersea Park," he fibbed to the paper.

"They're dangerous. It's rare."

He added that the attacked had resulted in him tearing the ligaments in his knee, but later revealed that he had made the story up and the incident was due to a recurring injury.

Girls Aloud

British summers wouldn't be complete without festivals and wasps. Girls Aloud had their fair share of both in 2008 when a persistent bug harassed during their performance at V Festival.

As they started performing their Top Ten hit Call The Shots as wasp buzzed around the singer's head, causing a minor panic from the Irish singer.

Justin Timberlake

had a run in with a bug, but his experience was a little more intimate than Adele or Kings Of Leon.

The pop hunk has a fear of spiders and during the early days of his career was paralyzed with fear when he found himself alone with an eight legged creepy crawly.

"I was staying in a really fancy hotel on my vacation, and as I put my bag down inside my room, I spotted a massive spider just sitting on the bed," he said, reported PopDirt at the time.

"I’m terrified of spiders, so I could hardly move, let alone get rid of it. I actually had to call the front desk to get someone to remove it for me."

Shakira

is famous for Latin pop hits and being attacked by a sea lion in 2012.

She was trying to take a photo of the animal while she was on holiday in Cape Town but that the mammal was in no mood for selfies.

Shakira wrote about the incident on Facebook, saying that the animal "got about one foot away from me, looked me in the eye, roared in fury".

She added that her brother Tony took her away from the "beast" and that they both got injured scrambling across rocks trying to get to safety.
