Uniform Swap

Thank you for helping families get ready for the next school year.

Good condition clothing or school equipment, that would otherwise go to landfill or simply remain in cupboards got an extended life by donating them to a local uniform swap scheme.

These schemes host sessions to exchange and donate school uniform. Some also swap coats, shoes and accessories ahead of the next school term. Families facing tough times could also have access to new uniforms which some charities fund from donations.

To help connect-the-dots, local 大象传媒 radio teams involved listed local swap schemes and together we made a difference.

Donations

Most uniform swap programmes will have specific terms regarding items that could be donated, here are some general hints and tips:

  • Remove any name tags
  • Make sure the uniform is clean before donating
  • Check pockets in case of any personal items left
  • Ensure you have the owner’s consent to donate
  • Do not donate intimate items
