Alison believed her weight problem had reached the point where it made her look less desirable, so she began trying to lose weight in order to have a gastric band fitted. She does, however, still allow herself some of her favourite foods as an occasional treat.
Shedding the Fat filmed Alison, her daughter, and her granddaughter sampling one such treat: a takeaway Chinese ‘munchie box’.
, but is her granddaughter’s evident enjoyment of the meal in the video an example of the importance of instilling healthy eating habits in children so they can avoid the sorts of health issue faced by grandmother Alison?
