You'll be amazed when you finally see the tattoo Judy Murray has been hiding from the world
She's one of the most respected tennis coaches in the world; she raised two of the most successful and well-known players in modern tennis; and she was a fan favourite when she appeared on Strictly.
But now Judy Murray may have found a new legion of fans by divulging a secret she has been carrying around with her for some time – her tattoo!
Des Clarke met Judy as part of Des Doesn't Do to find out what her tattoo is and ask what inspired her to get inked.
To ink or not to ink
Des Clarke is joined by Judy Murray as he tries to understand tattoos.
Des was surprised when he found out that Judy's tattoo – conveniently hidden on her back – is of a large spider.
But rather than showing off Judy's latent passion for extreme death metal, the spider has more personal meaning for the tennis coach.
"It's a throwback to the story of Robert the Bruce and the spider in the cave – it's about never giving up, resilience, persistence, fighting against the odds."
Asked what Andy and Jamie's reaction was to their mum getting a tattoo, Judy gave her best impression of her sons' eye-roll – which she said was a similar reaction to when Andy and Jamie found out about her going on Strictly.
When discussing the fact that some people adopt an almost addictive attitude to getting tattoos, Judy admitted she was thinking of getting get more ink done:
"I love it, I might get another one."
