5 celebs obsessed with Wimbledon

It's that time of year again! As unmistakable a part of the British summer as damp drizzle and sold-out barbecue ingredients, it's no wonder that celebs flock to get a piece of .

That said, some of them seem to love tennis a LOT more than others. We're indulging our Wimbledon mania with a look at some of our fav stars who are as obsessed with tennis as we are (with the exception of Joe Lycett, of course).

1. Niall Horan

If you're a fan of Niall Horan, you'll know that the Irish star is obseeeeeeeeessed with golf - but it turns out he has a mania for tennis, too. He's frequently spotted kicking back at major tennis tournaments all over the world, and always gets seriously into Wimbledon.

Niall is also good mates with legendary tennis champ Novak Djokovic, who even gave him a private lesson. Let's hope that Niall didn't have "Slow Hands" on the day, hey?

2. Drake

Honorary Boy Better Know member Drake is a true Anglophile and a general sports nut, so it's no wonder that he's a massive fan of Wimbledon, where he has been spotted having a whale of a time.

The Canadian star has , Serena Williams. We're hoping to spot him watching centre court this year, perhaps digging into a nice bowl of strawberries and cream.

3. Harry Styles

Ok, so we don't actually know Harry Styles, but he strikes us as both a bit of a perfectionist and an over-achiever. So it seemed inevitable that just having a knockabout with his mates wasn't going to cut it for Hazza in the tennis stakes.

Instead Harry had a lesson with legendary Australian tennis pro Pat Rafter. If you ever fancy a rally Harry, we're here for you.

4. Ellie Goulding

It will surprise literally nobody to know that super sporty singer Ellie Goulding absolutely loves heading to Wimbledon. But she indirectly had a hand in one of our favourite tennis stories ever. Speaking to The Sun, player Marcus Willis revealed that he was overweight and depressed, having slipped to number 772 in the world rankings, before he met his girlfriend Jennifer at one of Ellie's gigs and was inspired to turn his life around.

In 2016 he pulled off one of the biggest surprise turnarounds in Wimbledon history and ended up playing a second round clash with with seven-times tournament champ Roger Federer. He didn't win, but he captured everyone's hearts - and the couple have just welcomed a baby daughter.

5. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

Wimbledon regulars and pals of Radio 1, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are particularly partial to a spot of tennis. In an interview with Hello magazine, Kate told a reporter that she and her husband have, "quite a competitive game."

We seem to have mislaid our invite to the Royal Box, but we'll be following all the .
