Terms and Conditions
The promoter of the competition is the 大象传媒. This competition will be broadcast on 大象传媒 Radio Scotland.
Eligibility
1. Entry is open to all residents of Scotland aged 18 or over, except 大象传媒 employees or those of its affiliates and their close relatives or any person connected to the competition.
Confirmation of identity and eligibility may be requested, as well as age, where a minimum age has been expressed as a requirement of the prize or any other element of the competition.
How to enter
Registration
2. The competition will run on The Afternoon Show on 大象传媒 Radio Scotland. The registration window is open at specified times on the 9th, 10th and 11th September 2024 as announced on- air (collectively the ‘Registration Window’).
3. Registration is via the station number 0808 5 92 95 00 (calls from landlines and mobiles are free). The presenter will ask a qualifying question and announce when the phone lines will be open for registration on each applicable day during the Registration Window. Entry into the competition by text or Whatsapp are not eligible and will be disqualified.
4. Every caller who gets through during the Registration Window and provides the correct answer to the question given on-air will be added to the pool of entrants from the entire Registration Window and have their name, location and contact number taken. Entrants will also be asked to confirm they are over the age of 18.
5. Lines will be open as stated on-air and close as stated by the presenter.
6. Only one entry is allowed per listener throughout the Registration Window. If you have tried to register on a previous day during the Registration Window, only your first entry will be counted.
On-Air Head to Head Quiz
7. When the phone lines close on the final day of registration (11th September), two entrants will be selected from the pool of correct entries using an independent randomised draw system and contacted by telephone off-air between 9am and 1pm on Thursday 12th September 2024.
If the entrant does not pick up the phone after reasonable attempts or the shortlisted entrant is rude or abusive, the 大象传媒 reserves the right to disqualify the entrant and contact the next eligible randomly selected entrant.
8. Once eligibility has been confirmed by the 大象传媒, the two randomly selected entrants will be called by the production team to go live on-air in a head to head quiz between 2pm – 3pm on Thursday 12th September 2024. Each of the chosen entrants will alternately be asked 3different questions and the person with the most right answers will win. In the event of a tie, a tie-break question will be asked and the finalist with the closest answer will win.
9. The phone number from which the phone entry is made in the registration process must be the entrant’s phone. The entrant must be entering on their own behalf. The 大象传媒 reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who did not register using their own phone or on their own behalf; this may mean that another entrant from all the entries is chosen.
