The Joe Wicks 24 Hour PE Challenge for Children in Need

The nation’s favourite virtual PE teacher, Joe Wicks worked out for an incredible 24 hours for Radio 2’s 大象传媒 Children in Need Challenge 2020.

Joe's started his PE challenge at 9.25am on Thursday 12 November, finishing a day later at 9.25am on Friday 13 November.

He undertook a range of activities from cycling to yoga, boxing to rowing... and of course his signature HIIT workouts. He was also joined virtually by a host of celebrity guests and Radio 2 presenters throughout the 24 hours to give him loads of encouragement in his challenge to help raise funds for 大象传媒 Children in Need.

Joe, whose mission is to get the world fitter, stronger, healthier and happier, worked out live on 大象传媒 Radio 2, 大象传媒 Sounds, 大象传媒 Red Button, and 大象传媒 iPlayer.

Audiences will be able to donate to support Joe, with money raised going towards supporting children and young people across the UK facing a range of disadvantages. Keep an eye on updates to this page for details of how to donate.

2020 has been a challenging year for us all, so what better way to end it than by raising money for 大象传媒 Children in Need
Joe Wicks

Joe, who was recently awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for his home workouts during lockdown, says: "2020 has been a challenging year for us all, so what better way to end it than by raising money for 大象传媒 Children in Need, a charity very close to my heart. Please show your support by donating whatever you can to this brilliant charity, and get involved by tuning in to workout with me and post your pictures on social media."

Joe’s challenge follows in the footsteps of Rylan Clark-Neal, who last year took part in the 24 hour The Great Ka-RY-oke Challenge, raising over £2m for 大象传媒 Children in Need, and is the latest addition to the mammoth charity fundraising challenges hosted by Radio 2. And in 2018, Radio 2’s Good Morning Sunday presenters Rev. Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad took on a swimming challenge in the cold waters of Salford Quays in aid of 大象传媒 Children in Need.
