Lily, Molly and Anisha: the saviours of Ambridge cricket?

hasn't yet given up hope of recruiting women to the cricket team. The future of Ambridge cricket rests on your shoulders, ladies!

Their performances didn't overly impress Harrison. So, as he prepares for the EGM, here are some handy cards to help him pinpoint the strengths and weigh up the weaknesses of his new recruits.

  • Previous experience:

Very little to none - she may have had a go while at the Cathedral School

  • Natural talent:

Quick-witted – she could be great at keeping up team morale

  • Strength:

Diligent pupil - a high achiever who throws herself into everything she does

  • Weakness:

Scared of the ball - a cause for concern but may be overcome with more practise

MOLLY BUTTON

Seems accustomed to softball - something to build on

  • Natural talent:

Dangerous hard hitter - she nearly took head off at nets!

  • Strength:

Aggressive bowler - keen to take a wicket every time she bowls

  • Weaknesses:

Finds the word "wicket" hilarious, seems immune to coaching - could get tiresome!

Had coaching from relatives - a good grounding in cricket from her Dad and Uncle

Off-spin bowling – she can bowl a doosra

Very determined - also seen in her negotiation of a partnership with

  • Weakness:

Poor batting - not too much of a problem in light of her bowling talent
