Audio Drama London is delighted to announce the results of this year’s NBF 2023. Our winners this year are:

They each receive a five-month contract with the Radio Drama Company commencing Saturday 6th January 2024.

We are also very pleased to share with you the names of our other ten Finalists, to each of whom we hope to offer a freelance engagement in one of our productions during the next twelve months:

This year’s event was advised by email to selected theatres (with whom we’d worked in the past on selecting candidates for the NBF), selected agencies - and via this website. From a very considerable application pool, forty actors were selected to take part in NBF 2023, which was run as three distinct stages on Zoom: a preliminary round in September, semi-finals in mid-October, and Finals across 6th and 7th November.

Twelve finalists were auditioned via Zoom on 7th November 2023 by this year's judges who were Sally Avens (Drama Producer and Chair), Kevin Brady (agent), Don Gilet (actor/director) and Rebecca Wilmshurst (Drama Production Executive).
We’re especially grateful to Drama producers Abigail le Fleming, John Norton and Pip Swallow for their contribution to the semi-finals, to Technical Producer Mike Etherden, to actor Adjoa Andoh who ran a masterclass for all Finalists on their pre-finals day, and to Clare Ewing for facilitating the event.
