Scott suggests: Storyville: Under the Wire

"It's a documentary which kind of passed under the radar, it's about the war correspondent Marie Colvin, regarded as one of the greatest war correspondents who's reported in many war-torn situations.

"This is the documentary about what happened with her last journalistic assignment in Homs and Syria.

"The whole documentary is utterly fantastic... You have a sense of the risks that some journalists take in terms of trying to report the story."

Storyville: Under the Wire is available now on 大象传媒 iPlayer

Hayley suggests: Catastrophe

"I want to give another shout out to Catastrophe because it was such a great finale it deserves one.

"I loved it - it's one of the greatest finale's I've ever seen, and the last five minutes summed up the whole series, it was really well written and I was super impressed.

"And it's all done and it's really sad. It's all there on demand."

Catastrophe is now available on All 4.

Scott suggests: Monty Don's Japanese Gardens

"It just talks about the country's love of gardens and nature.

"The weird thing about it is, some cities like Tokyo, one of the biggest populations in smallest spaces in the world, incredibly condensed, but it's also one of the most livable cities in the world because there are so many gardens and open spaces.

"In the first episode Monty tries to work out Japan's relationship with nature.

"Give it a go - it is the most gentle show on TV at the moment - it's getting to 大象传媒 Four canal sort of territory of peaceful."

Monty Don's Japanese Gardens is available on 大象传媒 Two and iPlayer

Hayley suggests: Lorena

(Lorena Bobbitt pictured recently at 'Film Independent Presents'. Photo: Getty Images)

"This is about the woman who in 1993 famously cut off her husband's penis with a knife and threw it out of the car window.... It was one of the first news stories I remember being aware of but I never got the full story, and it's interesting to get it now in the light of the #metoo movement.

"The documentary is very... who is the real victim here? It goes deep into the attitudes of the time.

"It's all about how women are rarely believed... and it's kind of an infuriating watch about how little has changed."

Lorena is available on Amazon Prime.

Laura suggests: 100 Vaginas

(Photo: Channel 4/ Paula Beetlestone)

"It's basically this photographer who's taken so many pictures of women's bare chests and penises, and she's looked at 18 women.

"It's just a really interesting topic, the different women she looks at, different ages, people who've been through different things from pregnancy to cervical cancer, everything from abortions to menopause.

"Some of the stories are really jaw dropping, but I just think it's a brilliant piece of television."

100 Vaginas is available on All 4.
