Lorraine Kelly gets own back on Piers Morgan in fake cop sketch
9 April 2019
It looks like Lorraine Kelly is getting some priceless payback on her fellow morning TV host Piers Morgan by appearing in a cult comedy as his ‘cyber bully’ after he ribbed her on his show.
“Lorraine Kelly is one of the most ruthless people you’ll meet in the business,” joked Piers on Good Morning Britain in March.
“Don’t be fooled by that halo. To warm herself up for her show, she literally murders kittens and puppies.”
In effortless Lorraine Kelly style, the much loved household name then lobbed back some hilarious faux-shade in Morgan’s direction. She appeared in the spoof TV cop series Scot Squad as a suspect in a malicious texts and vandalism complaint supposedly lodged by Morgan.
Could national treasure Lorraine Kelly really be a criminal?
Following a complaint from Piers Morgan, the DCs interview Lorraine Kelly
鈥淗e鈥檚 jealous of me because I鈥檝e got a show called Lorraine and it鈥檚 in my name and he can鈥檛 stand it.鈥Lorraine Kelly has a comedy pop at Piers
“Ach, form an orderly queue! There’ll be loads of people wanting to do terrible things to him,” said Kelly in the sketch when accused of keying his car.
Mainstays of the breakfast TV schedule, these two TV personalities have very different onscreen personas: one as a kind-of pantomime villain; the other your best friend next door. But they appear to share a love of having a good-natured dig at one another.
So how will Piers Morgan retaliate? Only time will tell.
Scot Squad follows the fictitious first Unified Scottish Police Force and is now in its fifth series. It promises a host of celebrity cameos, including Chick Young, Sally Magnusson and Sir Tom Hunter.
• Scot Squad is on the 大象传媒 Scotland channel Wednesdays at 10.35pm and available to catch up on 大象传媒 iPlayer.
Cheers, Piers!
