Fleeing Syria: Salih waded through sewers, slept rough and was even jailed before he reached safety in Scotland

Graphic designer Salih escaped his war-torn home and embarked on an incredible year-long journey through fourteen different countries.

Now settled in Scotland, he has designed a tattoo featuring the obstacles he faced as a permanent reminder of his struggle to feel safe.

Salih fled from his home though all these countries to reach Scotland:

Eleven-year-old Daad dreams of seeing her old friends again but doesn鈥檛 know whether they鈥檙e alive or dead.
Afghan refugees tell their story from a refugee camp in Pakistan.
After his home was bombed, Thaer fled civil war in Syria searching for a safer life.
Bashir fled the Taliban and arrived in the UK aged nine. At 18 he was told he鈥檇 have to return.
