Not many would get into an argument with professional fighter Paul Craig, also known as Bearjew. He’s six foot seven, and built like a tank. On Mirror Mirror his barber Ian explained, “When he sits in the chair, he’s a proper gent. But his job is essentially to kick people’s heads in.”

Paul’s a typical alpha male — and this extends to his relationship with his dog, Cliff.

“If you allow your dog to run wild, and he’s a big powerful dog, then he’ll be the alpha male in your house and you’ll have to abide by him,” advised Paul.

So how do you let a dog know who’s in charge? Paul shared the unique technique he used on Cliff.

“I puffed up my chest and barked at him and he just cowered away. That’s what would happen in the wild. Sometimes you need to let your dog know who the alpha is in that pack.”

A twist in the tale

So just what kind of dog does a hard-as-nails UFC fighter own? A Rottweiler perhaps? Maybe a Staffie? Ian asked the same question and was surprised by the answer.

“He’s a golden doodle” said Paul.
